Trust

Trust
Trust and communication are inherently together. Imagine that we have to do with a conversation partner, which we know that - in any distribution - 50% of his statements are disingenuous. Obviously a communication with such a human would not be possible. It would be also impossible for a child to acquire a language in such an environment. Because a child must assumed that people don´t lie in the normal case in its surroundings, for example when they say "This is a ball."
Half-truths and withholding of information affects the conversation quality very negative. Openness and authenticity are required in order to generate trust.
Why is in the leadership communication and trust so important?
Good managers can quickly and directly headed to employees and giving them the feeling of being important. They communicate decisions that are responsible for, personally and at eye level. Only then can be formed a sense of trust and a common base. These people have a high managerial leadership and communication skills. They consider communication as a tool to convey trust.
They do not act, they live their skills in order for these, otherwise they have no chance with their employees. Because when managers acting, the employees act too.

Empathy

Empathy
The term empathy designated to recognize to one´s ability, thoughts, emotions, intentions and personality characteristics of another person or an animal and others one´s own reaction to the feelings of others such as pity, sorrow or pain.
Empathy is a fundamental skill in dealing with other people, because it improves the communication as a key process in the context of social relationships.
This improvement is characterized by fewer misunderstandings, rarer conflict escalation and a quickly implement of the desired communication objectives.
To the extent as that improved the communication by empathy (communication skills), it improved in general the relationship of communication and interaction partners (social competence). Empathy increases overall the efficiency and effectiveness of your communication.
They know how to handle with their own and of the others emotions that they work for you and not against you.

How do we make requests after receive a negative message?

How do we make requests after receive a negative message?
The important thing is that we must listen each other to understand the Situation. A loud voice doesn´t lead to a solution but rather to a discussion and conflict and this make all the things even more complex. People hear negative message grudgingly. But we are all people and we all make mistakes in our live. If the person who sends a negative message is right so we should change our Behavior or approach. But if we will be criticized unjustly then you should defend yourself.

What kind of Observation?

What kind of Observation?
I think the conclusion of Simone Weil "We see the same colors, we hear the same sounds, but not in the same way" is true because people want to hear or see things what they want to hear or see. So we hear commendation gladly but critic grudgingly. The first named lead to higher Motivation and the second named to discouragement.

Powerful Listening

Powerful Listening
Attentive listening is as important as clear and intelligible speech.
Said, is not necessarily heard! Heard is not necessarily understood!
The "partial listening" has
become a common practice. But the "partial listening" is not listening.
The active listener :
• is with its attention to the conversation and his partner and expressed this by positive posture.
• holds the eye contact with his partner.
• shows his interlocutor that he accepted and appreciated.
asks questions to make sure that he understands "what the other meant."
gives the other the time that he needs to express themselves.
The four steps of active listening are:
·         perception: we perceive selectively. That makes sense, because the human would not be able to incur all information, stimulation and impressions.
·         understanding: It is understood what is heard and comprehended. Misunderstandings can arise, for example, if the sender and receiver define notions differently.

·         evaluation: we tend to evaluate what we have heard and understood. Feedback can help to avoid misunderstandings.

·         reaction: verbal and nonverbal responses, such as head nods, eye contact, etc. are techniques that relieve active listening. Active listening can be learned. The "mirroring" of statements ("Did I understand correctly, that ....?") helps to show that the statement was recorded. Who sees that what is heard can be summed up, feels understood.

Communication Styles

Communication Styles
I think good communication skills require a high level of self-awareness. Understanding your personal style of communicating will go a long way toward helping you to create good and lasting impressions on others. By becoming more aware of how others perceive you, you can adapt more readily to their styles of communicating. This does not mean you have to be a chameleon, changing with every personality you meet. Instead, you can make another person more comfortable with you by selecting and emphasizing certain behaviors that fit within your personality and resonate with another.
There are four basic styles of communication:
·         Aggressive: By aggressive communication individuals express their feelings and opinions and advocate for their needs in a way that violates the rights of others
·         Passive:  It is a communication style in which individuals have developed a pattern of avoiding expressing their opinions or feelings, protecting their rights, and identifying and meeting their needs.
·         Assertive: In this style of communication individuals clearly state their opinions and feelings, and firmly advocate for their rights and needs without violating the rights of others. In contrast to the previous style of communication the assertive communication is born of high self-esteem.
·         Passive-Aggressive: is a communication style in which individuals appear passive on the surface but are really acting out anger in a subtle, indirect, or behind-the-scenes way. So they usually feel powerless, stuck and resentful.

Elements of a Conscious Communication

Elements of a Conscious Communication
Communication is a process of transferring information from one entity to another.
Conscious Communication implies first and foremost that a level of 'consciousness' is present. There are 4 elements of conscious communication, which are shown below:
·         Observations: By observations, we express how we are to another person.
·         Feelings: The second element of conscious communication is how we express our feelings as a result of our observations.
·         Needs: The third element is how we understand the needs of us and the person we are talking to. To find a middle way of communication we should realize what our needs are and what the person’s needs are
·         Requests: When our needs are not fulfilled, we should ask for actions that would fulfill our needs.
Although many of us believe ourselves to be good communicators, life frequently provides us with challenges that test our ability to deliver our messages in a positive fashion. Developing an effective communication style is an art that requires practice, practice and more practice. It is not an innate gift, as many of us believe. I think that people have healthier relationships (i.e., family, social and professional) when they master the art of communication. Ironically, many people insist that their communication style does not contribute to their relational problems, even though they are not getting what they need from their relationships. So we communicate for one reason: to get what we need!

Needs and Strategies

Needs and Strategies
Needs are universal, i. e. everyone has it (even if he decides not to fulfill it or represses  it). Needs are independent from time, place, person or action. They go a symbiosis with the strategies. Each strategy is an attempt to fulfill one or several needs. This means that me for example have no need to drive a car; drive a car is a strategy among many possibility, for example, it fulfilled the need of flexibility and ease (to get easy from A to B).
A human has needs in every moment, which is manifested by feelings.
Will you get a deeper insight into the causes of the problem or conflict, so the needs must be clearly separated from strategies. Conflicts arise only at the strategy and never at the need level.
Needs that are felt by us concretely, such as the desire of praise or food is called conscious or open needs. Others slumber in secrecy can be open to needs, when they are aroused. This happens very often on the advertisement.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology
The point is not to limit damage in the positive psychology – to go from minus eight to minus two of the mental state scale – but how we can improve from plus two to plus five.
Positive Pschology focuses on  what is necessary to achieve a Good life.
For example, the following aspects contribute to such a positive life:
- more positive than negative emotions
- to recognize and use your strengths and talents
- to create a positive family life
- contribute to the welfare of the community
Positive emotions does not only show a state of well-being, but also contribute to greater well-being and positive human development.
When people are in a positive emotional state, they look at a problem and the solution rather in a broader context – they respond creatively and flexibly – and build up  more social, emotional and intellectual resources.
